What’s API 7K Hose?

API 7K hose includes high-pressure cement hoses, rotary drilling and shock absorbing hoses, etc.Common structures include an inner layer of wear-resistant rubber, a reinforcement layer and an outer layer of wear-resistant rubber.

1.oil-resistant, acid-alkali-resistant, aging-resistant, and high-temperature-resistant synthetic rubber as the inner lining sealing layer;

2.high-strength steel wire as the pressure-bearing skeleton;

3.high-tensile textile fabric as the buffer layer and external protective layer.

What are their applications?

High-pressure cement hoses, rotary drilling and shock absorbing hoses are primarily used in oil and gas drilling operations. These hoses are used to transport cement, slurry, hydraulic fluids, as well as shock absorption and rotary transmissions on the drilling platform. They play a vital role in oilfield applications, ensuring that drilling operations run smoothly and safely.

1.Cement hose is used for flexible connection between cementing pump (applied to sea boring and land drilling) and top drive to convey high-pressure cement mud.

2.Rotary drilling and shock absorbing hose is used for flexible connections between the upper end of the neutral tube and the top drive/swivel unit and between the pump and the lower end of the riser for high-pressure pumping of mud in oil drilling and exploration work.
